I am delighted to have been selected by Next City Vanguard as one of “40 Urban Leaders Under 40” for 2014!
Vanguard is an annual gathering of young urban leaders working to improve cities across sectors, including urban planning, community development, entrepreneurship and more. Of the many factors for consideration, the selection was based on the personal character of the leader as well as the leader’s potential impact in shaping the field of urban affairs over the next ten years.
I will be joining my fellow colleagues in Chattanooga, Tennessee from April 24th-26th to tackle challenges faced by the host city as well as cities across the country. In participating, my hope is that these conversations will be broadened to include struggling cities around the world. Feel free to read the official announcement and to meet the rest of my cohort!
